Graceland Baptist Church Missions

Community Missions

Graceland Baptist Church takes an active and leading role in meeting helping the needy in need in our community. Donations of furniture, appliances, clothing, food, clothing and many other items provide help where needed. All items donated must be in god condition and all appliances in good working order.

Baptist
Men

This group of men meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship with one another followed by planning and discussion of mission opportunities in the community and beyond. They provide support and leadership for the Royal Ambassador Program (a mission program for boys). All men are welcome.

Royal
Ambassadors
(RA’s)

Boys in the 1st through 6th grade join together for fun, fellowship and learning about the needs of others. They meet Sunday nights at 6:00 pm

WOM
Women on Mission

Hazel Worsham is the director of this group of ladies who helps the church focus on education, involvement in and support of missions. Through many activities and events, they support missions on the national, state and local level. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the church for fun and fellowship to provide support for all ages from Girls in Action (GA's), mission friends, acteens through senior adults. All women are welcome.

Girls in
Action
(GA’s)

Girls in Action or GA’s is a WMU ministry organization for girls in 1st through 6th grades who are interested in missions. GA members are actively involved in learning about missions, praying for and giving to missions, and actually doing missions themselves. Girls also learn and apply Bible verses and begin to understand the role of missionaries in telling people about Jesus.  Participation in GA helps girls develop spiritually and grow up to be missions-minded women. A comprehensive children’s ministry that includes GA leads to a healthy church.  Missions’ education teaches that God is active and working in the world today. It helps girls understand that the world is bigger than their own communities.  They meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. for fellowship, fun, learning and enjoy doing craft projects.
