Youth Pastor: Matt Winters grew in wisdom and stature until graduating from high school in Marion, a relatively small town in Southwestern Virginia. After graduation and a quick trip to the bowling alley, Matt ventured forth to seek higher education in Williamsburg, Virginia where he attended the College of William and Mary. After graduation from William and Mary (and no trip to a bowling alley), Matt moved to Richmond, where he pursued a dual-Masters degree program through Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2005, Matt again graduated – this time with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Social Work – and again missed the chance to go bowling.

As well as Youth Pastor at Graceland Baptist Church, Matt also serves children in foster care through the Virginia Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services. Graceland Baptist Church believes the community is the foundation for fellowship and growth. Graceland Baptist Church is a community that serves God by responding to God’s call to serve one another.
